Hunt's DIY Decor
In January 2015, my husband and I started our little local business together. We had been making a few different DIY decor pieces for our own home and with me being a stay at home mom (of one at the time) and having a little bit of extra time we decided to make a Facebook business to see if it would take off at least locally. We were pleasantly surprised at how well it did. We had a few orders here and there but still not a full time busy business. I was fine with that since I did have a little one to care for as well. 2016 hit and we've had ongoing orders since. It's really been a blessing for us; something that we loved so much and that we could do together. At times when things get super busy (especially since we have two little ones now) and we have several orders going, it's easy to take this blessing for granted because we feel so overwhelmed, but I'm so thankful we're 2.5 years going strong! Some of the items we started out with are our wood burnings, pallet signs, string art, and decor bottles.
We've come a long ways and our style has changed in some ways. We make more customized items now like cup decals and t-shirts. I've fallen in love with hand made, distressed, personalized decor items. That's really what our shop has been here lately. We personalize our own items, so that's why we offer that to our customers too! Fonts, colors, and even new ideas are welcome! We've also branched out and created an Etsy shop. I can't wait to see how far we'll go with this business and what all items we'll come up with or try out! I'll link our Facebook page and Etsy shop below.
