My Current Fat-Burning Juicing Recipe

Last week, I blogged about the benefits of drinking warm lemon water and lemon/ginger shots (I'll link below). Today, I'm sharing the other health/fitness recipe that I've been doing. This is a fat burning juice. I love juicing, especially since they're so healthy for you and it's a plus when they have extra benefits like fat burning. There's so many juice recipes out there and I will be sharing more, but this one is my current go-to juice. I'm working on detoxing, weight-loss, and fitness. If you are, too, then I recommend this juice. I came across a recipe similar to this one on Pinterest and just tweaked it a little bit.

Ingredients:
(1) Grapefruit
(2) Oranges
(1/4) Lime
(1/2 Inch) Ginger Root

This recipe is pretty simple and easy to make. You can literally just throw it all in and be done, or you can peel the fruit and then throw it in. I personally peel the skin off the grapefruit and oranges, but I slice the limes in fourths and just throw them in according to the recipe! This makes enough juice for one serving. I usually make enough to last me the week. I love to drink this about an hour or so after lunch after chilling in the fridge. It's so refreshing!

I use this juicer (I'll link below) by Breville. I have no complaints with this juicer. It is super nice and separates the juice and pulp so well! With the pitcher that comes with the juicer, I was only able to make this recipe three times before it was full. To save me time so I can get all the juicing done in one day, I just pour it in my mason jars and start over till I have about a week's worth made. I made my lemon/ginger shot mix first, and then started this recipe right after. This day, I only had enough ingredients to make three days' worth of juice.

Once the foam goes down the pitcher is filled to the max line.

The first one (yellow) is my lemon/ginger shot mix for the week, and the other three (orange) are my juices for 3 days' worth.

Like I mentioned in my blog about this recipe, you only take one shot of it a day.
I hope you guys enjoy these recipes like I do. Once I start to switch things up again I'll share new ones I try out. This picture shows one day worth of the Lemon/Ginger shots and my current juice.

Grapefruit Benefits:
A great immune system boost, a natural fat burner, liver cleanser, kidney stone prevention, prevention against a few different cancers, helps speed up your metabolism, helps fight gum disease, and reduces bad cholesterol.

Orange Benefits:
Lowers cholesterol, helps regulate heart function, lowers the risk of diseases, and is packed with vitamins to help with your vision.

Lime Benefits:
Helps with your complexion, keeps your arteries healthy, they're powerful for fighting bacteria in the body, and t
he fruit is also linked to antioxidants and bioflavonoids that researchers believe could lower the likelihood of cancer.
Ginger Root Benefits:
Settles stomach issues, soothes migraines, reduces motion sickness, reduces joint pain and relieves arthritis, helps kill cancer cells, treats a variety of heart conditions, lowers blood sugars and increases insulin release, slows down DNA damage, effective in treating asthma, and reduces coughs and colds.

Calories in one serving: 160

All of these do amazing things and are so great (and important!) to add to your daily lifestyle! Some juices can be too strong and hard to drink, especially on a daily basis, but I haven't had that issue with this one at all!

I'm not sure if you can even purchase the same model of this juicer anymore, but here is a link to an updated model. It looks about the same.  https://www.amazon.com/Breville-JE98XL-Fountain-850-Watt-Extractor/dp/B003R28HWQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1498593745&sr=1-1&keywords=breville+juicer
