Garden Update
Our garden has already come a long way. This year has been a learning process for sure! This is our first garden and it's taken a lot of work and learning to get it to this point. It has been so rewarding to walk out into our backyard and be able to pick fresh vegetables right there!
Our garden a week and an half ago:
After being gone for a whole weekend, I checked our garden and was able to pick our first cucumber and this monster zucchini!
This day, I was able to pick another cucumber and some okra. Our kind neighbors had a lot of extra okra plants, so they planted some by our fence so we could have them. I have a couple okra plants (just two since I'm the only one that really eats it) and they planted like eight plants for us! They were all doing really great, so Roman and I went and picked some. Sadly, my okra I planted hasn't gotten any yet. We still haven't gotten any spaghetti squash, eggplants, or red bell peppers. Our monster zucchini was the first and only one we've gotten so far. It looks like we won't be getting any strawberries after the thief (not sure what it was) stole all the ones we had growing! We have so many green tomatoes and even some cherry tomatoes growing. We finally have a summer squash and a green bell pepper growing. Our cucumbers are doing amazing! we have many more growing that will be ready to pick soon!
In between rains when the ground starts to dry out I've been just watering them normally. Every other week I've been putting water in my watering can and mixing in cayenne pepper to keep pests away. Every two weeks, I use an all organic fertilizer. I'm so happy with how well it's doing!

Our garden this week:
I wanted to include how well all of our plants in the front flower bed are doing and growing. Our zinnias are almost touching our window now!
