Beggs Family Farm Trip 2017
Beggs Family Farm Trip 2017
Every October we love going to Beggs Family Farm (over by Sikeston MO).
The boys love it. There are so many kid activities and it's very family friendly. Our two boys are still pretty little, so we tend to skip a lot of the parts that are swarmed with bigger kids. Roman (our 4 year old) is pretty shy and wouldn't want to go without us and Axel (our 1 year old) is very outgoing, but he is too little and was very sleepy this day. The joys of toddlers fighting nap time.
It never fails when we first get to Beggs something irritates Roman and he is always crying when we take their annual "How Tall This Fall?" photo (this trip his wristband bothered him). We still managed to get a few pictures, even if he wasn't too happy.

The big slide was a hit last year with Roman, but not so much this year. Too many people were watching and he wasn't a fan of being so high up. Axel was so sleepy that it didn't phase him at all!

The boys love anything that has to do with animals. They're never afraid to pet or feed any of them. Even Axel fed the goats this year.
I call Roman our Linus. Blankie goes on every trip still to this day.
I can't forget to mention "Tick Tock Croc" that also goes with us.
Roman loves the cow, but never wants to milk it.
The rabbits were so cute! |
The Alpacas must have been full because no food was making them get up or come to the fence. |
We thought it would be such a cute idea to get me and the boys (all three redheads) in the pumpkin cutouts.. Roman was too short to reach the hole and there was no way I could stretch to pull it off. These ended up being the best we could get!
The boys watch and love Spookley every year. Roman always gets excited to see him at Beggs!
Axel (still fighting sleep) couldn't decide if he was happy or grumpy, but kettle corn helped cheer both boys up before we headed to the corn maze.
It was such a beautiful day. The boys' favorite part of Beggs would have to be a tie between the corn maze and the pumpkin patch. They both loved walking around the maze and playing along with the game. They love picking up the random corn cobs from the ground. Axel would giggle every time I wouldn't let him eat one!
We told Roman the night before we went that we were going to pick out our pumpkins. The next morning he kept asking "Are we going to go get pumpkins?" That was the only thing on his mind all morning!
Both boys got to pick out their pumpkins, but since it's so hard to pick out big ones for us and load back on the cotton trailer with them with the boys, we decided to just get the boys here and pick ours out at a local store. The boys enjoyed the ride on the cotton trailer pulled by a tractor on the way there and back. They always dance to the music that's played.
It was another successful trip to Beggs Family Farm!
