FabFitFun // Winter Box 2019
FabFitFun // Winter Box 2019
So I realize that I have missed the last few FabFitFun review blogs. I have been subscribed seasonally still and have my unboxing videos on my channel from previous seasons. My last unboxing with this Winter Box 2019 was uploaded to my Lifestyle channel though. I will probably continue to upload them there. I use to love these blogs because I was able to model the items and show not just beauty, but lifestyle products too so I wanted to bring these blogs back.
The winter box is not available anymore, but you can get a review on these products that are available (and I will link them when possible) plus to show what a FabFitFun box is like if you've been considering it. The spring box is just around the corner! *If you click/tap the "FabFitFun box" above and order there you will save $10 off your first box too! XO
This beanie and arm warmer set is the cutest! I love the marbled black & white look. Although I'm not big on hats (I have a rather large head. haha) like I used to be, I find this one to be super cute. Plus the extra warmth is nice for the school drop off in the mornings and afternoons with this cool weather! The arm warmers are nice and unlike gloves, you can still use your phone without having to take them off first. Haha! The quality is there with this set and it's been useful for the winter months.
This was a product I was excited to get but wasn't sure how much use it would get. Since it's been in our shower I haven't heard my husband use it. I have only used it twice. I really do like it, but my shower routine as a mom is pretty fast. Haha! I try to find the time to take longer showers to pamper myself or even soak in the tub every once in a while and during those times I know this will be nice to have. I usually prefer to read a book while I take a bath, but for longer showers, I can use this to listen to music or a podcast. The volume is just enough without being too loud for others in the house and it has seemed to work well. You can easily slide the device off the suction to charge it with the cord that is sent with it. Overall if I have going to get a shower speaker I would be satisfied with this one!
Karuna Face For All Face & Eye Mask Set
I am a sheet mask junkie (well skincare junkie really) and love trying new ones. I have tried this brand before and I do like it. The sheets are a lot like a standard sheet mask, but even thinner. Like so thin they can easily tear when you apply it or move it around on your face. They feel nice and pampering. I like the idea of a box set and although I would have loved to have more of the eye masks it is nice to have a variety of sheet masks for different skin issues all handy.
The eye mask is the same texture as the face masks. They're bigger than your standard gel eye masks and I do like the gel ones better, but I found these to be really nice eyeshadow shields while applying my eye makeup. The plus to that is they're moisturizing my under eyes at the same time.
I've been interested in getting a color switch for a while, but I usually just wipe my brush off or switch brushes since my brush collection is obsessive. While I have found this handy some days I feel that wiping my brushes (spot cleaning) seems to work better and faster for me still. I don't reach for this too often. I am glad I got to try one through a subscription than buying one separately to only find out I wouldn't use it often.
I have a pillow spray that I use most nights to help calm me and get me to go to sleep faster (anxiety and insomnia sucks) and it smells heavenly. I was pleasantly surprised that this smells of lavender just like it! It is one of the most calming scents to me now and instantly relaxes me. I had never heard of this brand, but I have been enjoying this product. It doubles as a body wash or hand wash. I have kept it in our shower, but with that all being said I stray away from this product in the mornings because I may end back up in bed. Haha. If you shower in the evenings or even soak in the bath this would be so relaxing. My most peaceful showers happen at night when my kids are in bed so that is when this is handy for calming me before bed. Plus it has a nice lather that isn't too much.
I have become more conscious lately of what products I use in my hair. I never cared before besides a nice shampoo and conditioner that worked for me with the occasional leave-in conditioner. I have found myself looking for new products that will keep my hair alive since I style it almost daily now with how much I film for my YouTube channels. When my hair is long it is fine and straight, but super thick so I dealt with tangles a lot. But once I chopped my hair off my hair is wavy and never dries straight anymore (hence styling daily) but it is still super thick too. I didn't think it was that big of a problem as I roughly brushed my hair every day until I used this product. It is a wonderful detangler. I use it while my hair is damp and brush through. Although my hair air dries wavy still I don't have a bunch of tangles and it is always super soft and ready to style. With that being said the downfall is the scent. I absolutely hate the scent and while I would finish the bottle out and hide the scent with other hair products I don't know if this would be a repurchase because of the scent! I like my hair to smell nice. It doesn't have to be too sweet, but I can't do minty and strong scents like this.
I have tried samples of the Makeup Eraser so I was so excited to receive a full one in this box! I'm wanting to invest in their bag of like 7 small round ones so I have one for each day of the week. The big one is nice, but I don't like reusing them. I would rather have a smaller one for each day instead. These are super nice though and less waste since you just wash them! I'm not the biggest fan of using it around my eyes as it tends to tug a little, but pairing it with micellar water helps that issue a lot and that way you still aren't using a bunch of wipes every day. The microfibers are super soft and wipes all the makeup away (I double cleanse with a follow-up cleanser though) pretty quickly. They're super handy to have!
The last product I got was this neutral palette from Beauty Bakerie. I have never tried anything from them and have wanted to so I was excited but also underwhelmed because I barely use neutrals and if I do I have plenty already. Either way, I still tried it for the formula and you can watch my First Impressions on my channel soon. I want to keep trying it for a 2 looks 1 palette because I'm still questioning it. The mattes took extra work adding pigment and blending and the metallics I found to be very light with little pay off as well. Since I have only tried it that one time I will have to follow up with you guys in a future video and future Makeup Monday post here on my blog. The look I got was still pretty but took more work than I would like for neutrals. The theme and idea for this palette is super cute though!
