Teami Bloom Tea & Honey Spoons // Review
Teami Bloom Tea & Honey Spoons // Review
What started as a tradition of getting hot tea with my mom at our favorite restaurant we shared a liking for when I was younger has now become a life-long love of tea.
I have tried many different types and brands. Some of which I wouldn't even be able to remember from before I had kids. After having my babies I would drink Mother's milk tea to help milk production and the fact that I love tea. Since those days I have still tried many others, but never shared my liking for tea. I love Arbonne tea a lot and usually keep it stocked. I stumbled across Teami and their skincare. I tried their Detox Mask and liked it so much I decided to branch out to their teas. At the time I bought the Skinny Tea and while it is an enjoyable tea (I might do a blog on that one at some point) I still enjoyed Arbonne tea better. I like variety so when I decided to try another one of theirs I stumbled across Boxycharm Pop Up sale that had quite a few Teami products including the Bloom tea and honey spoons.

Bloom Tea
I was not disappointed with this tea. I mentioned the Skinny tea above, but I can say I really like this one more. It claims to be "slightly sweet" and you can definitely taste a sweetness. I do want to be upfront about tea though. This isn't iced sweet tea that is super sweet, but I find hot tea better than iced unsweet tea. I love iced sweet tea and hate iced unsweet. Hot tea isn't sugary. I mean you can definitely add that if that is your liking, but for me, I will drink it as it is straight from the kettle. I also take a swirl of honey in mine. I recommend honey for sweetness and I'm usually not a fan of honey. This is actually the only way I consume honey. Ha! So if you're new to hot tea and want an added sweetness to it then give honey a try. There are other options, but this has been my favorite way so far.
I find local honey to make my tea even tastier, but if that can't be found I go for store-bought organic and it is still yummy.
The Teami teas are strong with flavor. I feel like most of them you have to have an acquired taste for. Bloom is florally tasted with a tad of sweetness. If you have tried an edible flower you know that floral taste. I made violet jelly last year for the first time and when I tasted the leftover broth from boiling the violets it had this floral taste as well. I'm really enjoying it and it's a great tea flavor for spring!
I have a smaller kettle that I only add 1 TBSP of loose tea to. I boil water and pour over my kettle (that has a self strainer) and let it sit for 5-10 minutes depending on how strong I want it to be. Teami also has incredible tumblers that have built-in strainers to catch the loose tea. I have one that I recently bought, but being home and all recently I have just used my usual mugs. My kettle makes two very full mugs. I also wanted to mention how beautiful this tea looks. It deserved a photo op. Haha!

Honey Spoons
I also picked up their honey spoons through the pop-up sale and I wasn't sure how I would like them. Again with not liking the honey taste that much I have to go pretty light with it, but I thought if I don't like them maybe my boys would like them as a treat. While I can say the honey taste with these are overpowering it is in a good way. I personally don't add any extra honey to my mug though. These are enough and make the tea very sweet! I used one a few weeks back when my allergies kicked in and my throat was a little scratchy. It was so soothing! I don't use these every time because it's not something I have to keep buying since it only has 6 spoons per box, but they're nice to have on hand as something a little special once in a while or again like I said for sick days.
