Roman's Kindergarten Graduation |2019-20

We're so proud of this boy! 2019-2020 year was NOT easy in the slightest. The beginning of the year didn't start off to a good point and it pretty much stayed that way throughout the school year. Roman overcame his fears everyday even with tears some mornings. He showed me over and over how strong he really is while I was falling apart in the car after dropping him off. Every single morning was special being able to hold his hand and walk him to the door even if it meant seconds later my chest would tighten up as I drove back home without him. This transition wasn't easy for either of us or Axel missing his brother everyday, but still kind of liking getting to play with Roman's things while he was at school. Haha.. I seriously don't know what I would've done without having Axel as support at home this year. He kept a smile on my face while my heart ached for Roman..

Roman has been our special one. Every step of his life hasn't been normal for him and we knew this would be a pretty big one. We were brushed off with the "transition is hard with every child. Give it a month." Not for our child. I had to use my voice a lot in that department. We had better weeks where we thought it was going to maybe be easy sailing from there... Only to start back at square one the next week. After many tears (from both Roman and me), countless messages/emails, and to the point of barely ever holding it together... Covid 19 hit. I never thought that Friday March 13th would be his last day of Kindergarten. The break came when we needed it and that is one of the only good things I can say about Covid.

Weeks went by and finally school was canceled besides a couple zoom sessions with his class a week for the remainder of the school year.

Kindergarten graduation may have been canceled, but we celebrated this boy anyways because he overcame a lot this year. He was nice to others, made friends, was star student, top grades, and became braver each day. I'm so proud of him!
