Roman's Mario Party | 7 Years Old

Roman's Mario Party | 7 Years Old

Our boy, Roman loves Mario and the koopa kids (Bowsers kids if you didn't already know. There are 8 of them!) and since May he has said he wants a Mario party! He has also talked about mighty beans, which is such a nostalgic feeling to me since I used to collect them with my sister. Besides that he picked everything out. He wanted half a red and half a green cake to resemble Mario and Luigi. All decor items were found on Amazon. We started the day (August 14th 2020) like every other birthday.. We do our birthday traditions of balloons in his room, but this year we surprised him with helium balloons that were floating on his ceiling. Since he is at the age of remembering birthday balloons this was the perfect surprise to start his big day! 7 years old.. I can't believe it. But I'll save you guys all the mushy talk since I have put that in Roman's birthday blog. If you like that kind of thing check it out. Ha! *Also birthday vlog coming soon!

I decorated, made his cake, and spent as much time as I could in between giving the birthday boy snuggles. We celebrated him that evening just the 4 of us to stay safe from Covid.. We still didn't want to risk it and Roman enjoyed his day anyways. He got to pick all the snacks to go along with the cake. It was all produce! Of course, it was.. If you weren't aware we call Roman our "little rabbit" because he could literally eat only raw veggies and fruit for the rest of his days with no problem. Haha!

Since Koopa kid decor isn't out there we had to get creative with our food labels. James, being the talented person he is, drew all the Koopa kids while I colored them in. With that we ordered pizza and had a great night with him.

He was so excited about his party and presents that he got that night (including mighty beans), but one other gift that he has asked for.. I kid you not, for months has been the stuffed animal Koopa Kids. The only place we could find them was Amazon (and not prime) so we had no idea when they would be here. They didn't arrive on his birthday and I was so upset about it, but he never once let it get him down on his day. He did ask about them the next morning and we felt awful, but kept it a surprise. They arrived that day and we ran up to him with them behind our backs (all 8 of them!) and tossed them at him. His face was so pure of excitement and happiness. SO worth it!

Again, happy birthday to our big 7 year old! XO
