Scrapbooking | Christmas
Scrapbooking has always been something I enjoyed, but sadly with how busy I stay I usually don't make the time for it anymore which has caused me to fall so far (even more) behind on the boys books. So while looking through Christmas things at Hobby Lobby I found myself eyeing the scrapbooking section over and over. I decided to have a look and left with these cute gingerbread men that are made of clay and Christmas scrapbook pages. I wanted to do a Christmas Eve and Christmas morning spread, but since it was the beginning of December I decided to grab some pictures from last year (like I said.. behind) and use them for this project. After waiting for my pictures to arrive I decided to have a night of cheesy Christmas movies and got to work. You can watch the process HERE and/or see the spreads below.
Besides photos (I recommend wallets for more room on the pages and you can get two of each usually when you order which is a win-win if you are doing a spread for multiple kids), festive scrapbook pages, and clay gingerbread men. I got out some glitter I had along with some hot glue and glue sticks. I prefer to use glue sticks to lay down the photos and hot glue to add chunky decor (like the gingerbread men) to the pages. I also had the bright idea (or not lol) to add some of the pom pom balls to a page. Since they were so thick I had to use scissors to cut them in half. Then of course, used hot glue to secure them to the pages. I have two boys so I tried to mix them up a little while using the same thing for all four pages.
The only other things I added was a little snowflake confetti I had leftover from making Globe Ornaments.
They may not be aesthetically pleasing or may look like there is fuzzy bugs running across the pages..Ha! But I had fun creating these, it was nice to get back into it, and the only piece that really matters to me is the two adorable boys in the photos and the memories I'm filled with when looking at these photos. XO
