Mood Board | October 2021

Mood boards, I say I'm going to make them every year and then don't. This year it has been my thing. I find so much joy in making these and since they seem to usually be something I keep up with I want to share them with you. What started as a mood board for the year has turned into monthly mood boards that I look forward to. The challenge? Finding the time to print the photos and piece them all together in my journal. Unlike other ideas in my journal this one, I keep up with because I actually design them on my phone using a collage maker. I grab mood photos from google, maybe an Instagram post I liked, and even my own photos/content. I keep them on my phone for the month so I have the inspiration to look at. You can add quotes or just keep it photos that inspire you.

Hopefully, by the end of the year, I can share my full journal with you but for now, I'm taking baby steps in showing you, my monthly mood boards. For October, we have a pretty dark theme. I used to do "black & white Octobers" on my Instagram for the aesthetic of it, but with doing makeup I thought it may be taking too much away from my photos. I had a hard time letting it go so I brought that aesthetic over here to my journal.

Spooky season is my favorite. I find comfort in black & white color stories, spooky decor, and being cozy with a good read or scary movie.

Fall grunge makeup is my favorite too. I love a good 90's aesthetic in both fashion and makeup. I'm my most happiest when the weather starts to change, and fall activities start.

As I wrap up the month of October I look forward to sharing my November mood board with you. I also plan to share soon everything I use/need for my creative journal because I highly recommend it if you don't journal already!
