Lemon Water & Lemon/Ginger Shot Benefits
I've been slacking on my fitness because of how busy we've been, but I'm still sticking with it. A huge part of a "healthy lifestyle" consists on what you're putting into your body. I wanted to share a couple of natural fitness/weight-loss drinks that I've been trying. To start off, I wanted to cut back on my coffee intake. For a while, I was literally running on coffee. I'm one of those people who refuses to stop coffee completely. The sound of that is just crazy to me. ☕ 😂
I had read a blog about cutting coffee out and replacing it with lemon water. Even though I knew I would still be drinking coffee everyday, I decided to give the lemon water a chance. I like lemonade and cold water with lemon is okay, but really I could just drink my water without. Then, I tried warm lemon water and I love it! It's really good for you in so many ways, too. You can also add a little honey to it to add some sweetness and bonus health benefits for drinking it! I've always hated honey, but I actually enjoy it in this! With adding that into my morning, I cut out a lot of coffee. Now I only drink one mug a day...sometimes two if it's a rough morning or one of the kiddos kept me up a lot throughout the night. Lemon water first, my ginger/lemon shot, and then coffee. I make sure coffee is last so I intake the good stuff first!
Health benefits for drinking warm lemon water every morning.

One serving is half a lemon and 1/2 inch of ginger. I prep mine in a mason jar for the week. Really you would only need about 4 lemons and 4 ginger pieces, but since my husband normally does a shot a day too, I prep 5 lemons and 5 ginger pieces normally to keep it fresh.
Doesn't look like much, but really you only take one shot a day. The taste is strong and hot, but not too bad...especially for the health benefits and fat-burning! I hope you add them to your daily routine, or at least give them a shot. 😉

The lemon & ginger shots also have a lot of health benefits. Once again, you have all the benefits from the lemon but with the ginger you also have a fat burner. You can kick it up a notch and add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
