The 4th & Cardinal Game

The weekend before last, we got an early start on celebrating the 4th at my mom and step-dad's place. Roman really wasn't a fan of fireworks this year...well, fireworks like sparklers, fountains, smoke bombs, and pretty much anything that was too close to him. He enjoyed the pool and watching all the kids (and even some adults including myself 😜) race down the slip n slide. We finished our afternoon with good food, good company, and some fireworks!
Axel really DID enjoy all the fireworks!

They were not in the picture mood...

Last Tuesday on the actual fourth, we decided to hit the road and go to a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium in St. Loius, MO. This was Axel's first baseball game!
The weather was hot, but that was an easy fix with a fan spray bottle, a foam red bird claw, and popcorn to keep the boys busy and happy!
This is normally how our "selfies" go. 😂
I got a picture just like this of Roman at his first game, so I had to get one of Axel too! I also just had to add another of Roman because their heads are just too cute!
Brothers sharing popcorn. This is really a rare moment for Roman!

We had a good family day out of it even though we didn't win. We also got free patriotic socks, and we got the boys some baseballs and pressed pennies as souvenirs.
We didn't get to see any fireworks with the Cardinals losing, but we were lucky enough to make it back to our town in time for their show. We sat in the car with a boy on each of our laps (that's why I didn't get the best pictures because of the lamp post in them) and both of the boys loved these! The show really was great, and these are some of my favorite pictures I got of it!

I hope you all had a good time celebrating Independence Day with your family and friends!
