FabFitFun Fall 2017

I recently received my very first fabfitfun box which is the fall 2017, and I'm so excited to share with you what came in mine. If you haven't seen the many advertisements and sponsored videos on social media accounts about this box then I'll explain. Fabfitfun is a seasonal subscription box. Unlike the other subscriptions I have that cater to mainly beauty (makeup, hair, skincare, etc.), this box is a variety from beauty, to fashion, to everyday handy items. Some of the products I've seen in the sponsored videos made me think they customize a box with "trending" items according to the season we're in. I think the concept is really cool and I'm so excited to finally be in on the fun. This subscription is $49.99, but with how many sponsorships are out there you can easily find a code to get $10 off your first box (like I did). I've also have gotten emails about a "starter box" that has less products in it , but is only $20.00. After receiving it you can either cancel or you'll automatically at some point (you'll be emailed) be charged for your first actual box which means you're enrolled in the subscription. I wish I would've known about that box, so check it out if you're interested in this. I still wouldn't have gotten it because I was a little late in the game for the fall box and getting the starter box would've made it too late for me until the winter box. I believe the fall boxes are sold out (unfortunately) and I know I'm getting this blog done late. I just wanted to share my thoughts and if I think this subscription is worth it. If you are interested in the starter box I would jump on that now while there is that gap time between the fall and winter boxes so you don't miss out on the winter box!  You can also just subscribe to the winter box and you'll be charged when the boxes become available.

I love the "newsletter" they send out with each box. I think that is so awesome and I enjoyed reading through it. It shows you the items that you got, but it also tells you more about them: how to wear them, style them, etc. It also has sections about the creators or top people of each company of the items.

(1) Private Party  [Gym Bag]
retails $59

I was honestly a little confused on this item. I feel like the "fitness" products would be more ideal for the beginning of the year with all the new year resolutions. Nevertheless, I still think this is a handy item that I would definitely get good use out of. There were different quotes I believe and as you can see I got "Gym & Juice" which I think is cute.

(2) Dphue [Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse]
retails $35

There isn't too much in my hair routine. I have my certain products that I use and thats normally it. I rarely add any color to my hair (like highlights) so I don't have to worry about treating it for my color to stay. My hair is normally pretty straight and not something I have to mess with too much. I still tried this out for the fact that I wanted to give an opinion for this blog. This is not something I would reach for and not something that would replace my shampoo. My hair has felt nice since using it, but not any nicer than it normally does right after I wash it. I don't wash my hair daily because I don't want to strip out the good oils or damage my hair, so I don't see myself using this much. The strong smell of this makes me not really want to use it either. I couldn't tell a difference after one use, but it maybe something to try out for the benefits it's supposed to have for your hair.

(3) Deco Miami [Lavender Cuticle Oil]
retails $12.50

I've recently really been into keeping my nails painted and taken care of. This was an item I was pleased to see. I do have some cuticle oil already, but it's always nice to receive items you know you'll use and like from the start. I feel like you can't go wrong with oil for your nails. This product does have a chemical smell to it (I'm not a huge fan of) and I was hoping it would smell more like lavender than just be a purple shade in the bottle. Once applied, I couldn't smell it as strongly. I will still get good use out of this product. This product is said to have a "nourishing blend of vitamins and organic oils " in it. That's great!

(4) B-Low The Belt [Mia Belt]
retails $55

I received the black belt with the silver buckle. I'm not one to wear belts. I like them as style statements, but my height doesn't mix well with belts. I feel like they shrink me a little more.
I would have much rather preferred the beanie (the fashion boost would be a beanie or belt), but I feel like getting the belt was a way for me to step out of my comfort zone and give it a try this fall.

(5) IMM Living [Coxet Wire Heart Ceramic Jewelry Holder
retails $33

At the end of the day, I literally just toss my jewelry on my desk for the next time I straighten up and then I have jewelry galore to put away. I hang my necklaces in my wardrobe and store most of my other jewelry there too, but it's nice to have some cute little rings and earrings close by for when I'm doing blogs or getting ready in general. I was also so excited to receive this in rose gold wire and white ceramic since those are two of the shades I'm redecorating my beauty space in.

(6) Trestique [Matte Color & Shiny Balm Lip Crayon]
retails $28
They had two shades of this item a pink/nude and a red (like I got). I've received products from this brand from other subscriptions before, but not this particular lip product. I was very shocked by how much I liked this. I'm not one to really use lip "crayons", but this one is super nice! The pigment is there and it isn't streaky. It glides on smoothly and has a matte finish. I also love how the lid is magnetic. The other end (with the red) is a cap to the balm which smells amazing and is also a good product. Look out for this product in an upcoming tutorial and/or review!

(7) Mytagalongs [Hot & Cold Gel Pack]
retails $15

I got this funny and cute black gel pack. I've needed a better gel pack for awhile, so this was a blessing to get. I have a lot of trouble with my back. After carrying and having both of my boys, it's really done me in. While in the hospital delivering my second, it was pointed out to me that I have a curve in my back which is not going to make my back problems any easier to deal with. For those reasons I love to have a hot gel pack on my back in the evening. It makes it so much better for me the next morning when I'm trying to start my day. I'm not in so much pain from the previous day. It also relaxes my muscles while using it at night. Being less tense helps me sleep better and I don't have to depend on ibuprofen when I'm super sore. The cold part of a gel pack I've needed for an extra recovery for my shins when I get back from my jogs. My shins are just awful and if I don't take proper care of them I'm out of running for a whole week.
This gel pack has worked wonderfully and I'm so glad I have it!

(8) Mer-Sea & Co. [Scarf]
retails $98

Now to discuss the star of the show in these pictures. This scarf is gorgeous and so soft! I have to admit it's so long that it makes me look shorter, but this is still something I will continue to wear because I love it so much. There is shedding with this, so I recommend having a lint roller or just dealing with the excess fluff on your shirt. It really wasn't hard getting off my shirt. There was just quite a bit. I got the brown/cream shade and I'm happy with that. This will be great for a lot of fall (and winter) looks. I personally enjoyed wearing it more laid back without the belt.

(9) Which Beauty [Renewing Mud Mask
retails $48

I'm always excited for any type of masks. Really, I'm obsessed with my skincare right now. This mask smells so good. It's a sweet smell, but it's not too strong. I always assume a mud mask is a leave on for 15-20 minutes till it dries down and has set.  I was a little worried when I read that this product was like an actual renewing facial peel. If you've done a painful facial peel like I have then you know the worry I was feeling. My husband's Aunt once brought these blue peel facials when she was in visiting. We saw the results she was having and all agreed to try it. It was literal fire on my face. It is something I never want to experience again.. I guess we can laugh about it now.. But still not something I was really wanting to try again. The instructions read to leave it on starting out at 15 seconds to up to 2 minutes. I'm automatically thinking this is going to burn. Surprisingly (Thank you Jesus!), this was really nice. It was sort of cooling and a little tingly, but nothing burning hot. After 2 minutes I washed it off, added my toner for the night, and my face felt amazing. This is definitely an item I will use regularly (as recommended).

(10) Cottonelle [FreshCare Flushable Cleansing Cloths]
*sponsored

I thought it was weird to receive an item like this, but then I read Cottonelle sponsored this fall box.
These are just a little plus to your box and something nice to throw in your purse in general, but double nice when you have little kids.

The charity this box was Unicef. I think it's amazing to see a subscription box add a charity in. I don't know too many details on this (as this is my first box) whether they donate a portion to this charity or if they're sharing this charity to get the word out to donate. Either way I think it's great!

To show off my fall inspired makeup (there will be a tutorial on this look soon!) I wanted to throw in another close up.
Overall I really enjoyed my first fabfitfun box and plan to keep this subscription. It's more of a pricier one, but it's also only 4 boxes a year. I hope you enjoyed this blog and I can't wait to see the winter 2017 box!

The price for every product mentioned in this box totaled is $383.50
