Bloody Valentine // Cherry Gin + Tonic
I'm a sucker for a good gin & tonic. It's my go-to choice even over wine these days. It's been a while since I've done a drink blog or made a new one in general and with Valentine's Day, I wanted to play with some drinks. Then I found myself just wanting gin. So I did a twist on my go-to gin & tonic by adding cherry to make it a bloody valentine's moment. We're still loving this new twist! It's super simple, to begin with, but even with the couple extra steps, it's a fast one to make with little supplies. Try it out and enjoy. xx
- Gin - I do 1 shot per tonic water or per glass. If you like stronger then add two!
- Lemon juice - from half a lemon. Save other half for garnish!
- Cherry juice - I used the juice from my jar. Maraschino cherries make it sweeter! Toss a couple cherries in the bottom if you like.
- Tonic water or spritzer - I don't use anything too fancy. I just fill the cup!
How To:
- Start with a glass of your choice with a couple ice cubes. Then for the drink with a squeeze from half a lemon, shot (or shots) of gin, half a shot (or full shot) of cherry juice, and a couple cherries.
- Top it off with tonic water until the glass is full. Give it a stir.
- Garnish with a cherry and lemon slice. Enjoy!
xx - Ally
