Little Black Dress | OOTD

My style has changed so much over the years. From more girly as a kid to my teenage days of punk, and then it went even more downhill into I don't even know what to call it. I hear it also comes with motherhood, that it is super easy to lose any sense of style or willpower to want to try. Since I really didn't have it figured out before that I guess I just completely didn't have it. Those beginning years of motherhood are tough ones and I now have a wardrobe of nothing but sweats, athletic clothes, and leftover pieces that no longer suit me.
Last year, with the help and inspiration from LYV-ON, I had a spark of interest in trying to find my style again. It really came from the aspect of me finding myself in general that made me realize I let myself go in many ways. One is my style and how good it would feel to have a wardrobe of clothes I feel good in but actually really enjoy the style of too. I fell headfirst into the Pinterest realm and slowly started to figure out what looks I would love to rock. I'm a comfy chic with an added edge. I'm already uncomfortable going out with my social anxiety the last thing I want is to be even more uncomfortable because of the clothes I'm wearing. Even if that means I wear boyfriend jeans, an oversized tee, and vans most days. At least I have some comfort. I rarely dress up anymore but since I've gotten an okay amount of chill clothes I thought it was time to branch out to some nicer things. What's nicer than a little black dress?

My little black dress is the LYV-ON Kafwrap in black. You can go from super casual to full dressy with this piece. I also love that the black one adds an extra formal to it. It hugs in the right places and flows to compliment the body. I love the details on the sleeves that also make it dressier. It gives you all the comfort of wearing a soft robe while looking stunning and put together. The material is 10/10 in comfort. It also works perfectly from being a tied-up black dress now to opening over a tank or swimsuit in the summer. I'm obsessed with this piece.

I paired it with a light shimmer on the lids and a fiery red lip. Accessory wise I went minimal but pretty. These light glam looks with a bold lip (especially red) always pair so beautifully with pearls. It makes me feel a vintage twist and even dressier. I wore my Remy Mother of Pearl earrings from The Starfish Project and my Tu Yo Me ring from ERTH x FabFitFun. They're both special pearl pieces in my collection. I also paired some other gold bands in the mix. This look has sparked my interest in wearing more rings like I used to. This journey of finding my style hasn't been easy. I mean actual tears as it is so hard finding much to fit being a woman with curves but to also be super petite in height. I am getting there little by little and want to share that inspiration with you to find what you love and dive deeper into your style.
