The Husbands by Chandler Baker
☠ ☠ ☠ ☠
When the Spanglers go house hunting in Dynasty Ranch, an exclusive suburban neighborhood, Nora meets a group of high-powered women--a tech CEO, a neurosurgeon, an award-winning therapist, and a bestselling author--with enviably supportive husbands. She is pulled into the women's lives when she agrees to help with a resident's wrongful death case. She finds the air is different in Dynasty Ranch. The women aren't hanging on by a thread.
This is a spouse swap on Stepford Wives while hitting close to home on the mom life side of things. I love how Chandler wrote about the everyday woman while incorporating the raw real emotions we sometimes face while trying to "do it all." It's a tale of "the grass is greener on the other side" but at what cost? I had a great time reading it and my only complaints were some areas needing to pick up the pace a little and my overall personal detachment from the main character.

"And this is the problem with being stretched so thin. She's constantly on the verge of disaster."
