The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
☠ ☠ ☠ ☠ ☠
Olive Smith is a spontaneous, anxious, messy, and determined woman in STEM. She is the opposite of Adam Carlsen, the "asshole professor" with a grumpy attitude. When these two come together you get a somewhat sunshine x grumpy bond, but these two can push that aside to work together in a fake dating relationship.
One of the cutest reads and definitely my favorite from Ali Hazelwood. While I found the "fake dating" benefits to not be as strong or realistic as I would like. The way these characters fall for each is the cutest. You have the "enemies to lovers" banter (that I love) and the causal 10-minute Wednesday coffee dates... <3

Goodreads Choice Awards (Nominee for Best Romance (2021)
The bonus of showing another strong woman in STEM - “carry yourself with the confidence of a mediocre white man” - is also great!
If you enjoyed this read, I would recommend literally anything else from Ali Hazelwood.
